 Is there life after death?


Many cultures have believed that something is waiting for us in the afterlife after our stay in this world is over, but what is it and why do so many cultures think the same? In this blog, I will show different points of view about this disturbing subject.

As I mentioned before, according to different cultures, when we die, we will go to different places; for example, within the Christian religion, it is believed that one can either be resurrected in paradise or hell, depending on whether you did good deeds and followed the rules established by God. There are cases in which people claim to come back from death and claim to have been in paradise with a luminous and merciful being, something that has not been scientifically proven. However, it sounds disturbing to know that these people from different parts of the world have experienced the same thing.

According to Spiritism, it is believed that when the earthly life ends, the soul of the person who dies is reborn in another body. Considering the soul and the body as two different elements and that the soul is the only real thing, while the body is the place of temporary confinement of the soul, where it is enclosed until it is purified of its temporary ties. According to this doctrine, when the soul has not been purified in this life, at death it reincarnates in another body and so on until its purification is definitively completed; there is also a belief called "Metempsychosis" which teaches that the worst sinners can reincarnate in an animal or a plant for their bad deeds done in life.

Finally, regardless of where the answers to the question of what happens when we die come from, they all have a common factor: there is something inside man that is immortal and survives death (the soul), but do we have a soul? What we should be clear about is that, regardless of our cultural or religious background, death is a reality that we must face.

    Death has a lot of secrets even these days we cannot understand it totally. I like the idea of reincarnating our soul in another life because death is not the end of ours road. If we were dead, our souls could live through years and get experience until getting the illumination. However, if you believe or not in it, depends on which is your faith.
