 Do the stars influence our lives?



Certainly, many people believe in fate and the influence of the stars in our lives, but this happens? 

People turn to astrology to interpret the supposed signals from the heavens about the future and thus take advantage of that information. Others believe that astrology can reveal what they are destined to do or perhaps help them figure out the most appropriate time to embark on an enterprise. How? Observing the position of certain stars and "calculating" the interaction between them and the Earth. They think that their influence on the person’s life will be greater or lesser depending on how they were aligned at the time of their birth.

Nonetheless, there is not a scientific fundament for these principles. Horoscopes use a descriptive technique known as "The Forer effect". Also named Barnum effect or the fallacy of personal validation which says that people rate as asserted some descriptions of the personality that supposedly are adapted to them, but the reality is that those characteristics are general of many people.

That's why in my personal opinion I don't believe in this kind of thing, although I respect everyone's belief. Now tell me about you, do you believe in horoscopes? Do you think that the stars influence your life?

    Good Post ! I couldn't be more agree with you because I don't believe on horoscopes or things like that which don't have scientific bases. From my point of view, it is impossible to predict the future or determine your personality based on starts. I found your post so interesting!

    I agree with you. Certainly studying stars can help us to get more scientific information such as the distance between a planet to other. However, it does not mean that influences your actions either in the present or in the future. Whatever that we wanna for our future we have to do by ourselves instead of waiting for that stars told what we have to do.
