How to avoid procrastination!
Procrastination
is something we have all faced at least one time in our lives. We have all
delayed, avoided, or procrastinated on problems and tasks that matter or have
to be finished. We do everything except that important thing that would take us
no more than 20 minutes, even we would rather watch series, spend hours and
hours on social networks, playing videogames, or simply, do nothing.
In the
beginning, it is an unnoticed problem, but as time goes by this becomes a
difficult loop to get out of, so, that is the warning saying to you that is the
moment to stop procrastinating, but how we can do that? Well let’s start with a
very known phrase that says: “ Planning with anticipation avoid the low
performance”, this phrase could sound simple, but it carries out a heavyweight
of truth because we can learn more than this phrase says.
First, I
want you to think about this: If you prepare physically for a situation that
requires your physical performance it will be easier for you to do it at that moment,
right? So, saying this means that if we do the stuff that we have to do at the
moment, we will avoid having problems later, however, there are sometimes in which even though we know that we are going to have problems we don’t do
anything to solve it before it occurs, in other words, it is called auto
sabotage and that’s because we don’t know how to face the problem correctly; An appropriate way to face them is using the problems as motivation to solve them
since when we have problems we feel fear and that undoubtedly is one of the
factors that motivate us to do stuff.
Knowing the
ways of looking at procrastination will help you to stop being that person who
does not meet the goals he or she sets, who is always late with the tasks, or
who usually has an excuse to leave everything for later, this can be
complicated at the beginning, but just as procrastination itself is a habit
that we have developed over time, the ways to overcome it, also constitute a
habit, like a muscle, are trained and molded until they work in our favor, you
only need a little will to break this bad habit.
Now that
you’ve read all of this. Have you ever procrastinated on something of utmost
importance? How did you deal with that moment?

In my case, I procrastinated on a lot of things to do. One that I can say is I bought a book in the English language six months ago to improve my reading skills. However, I have not been able to finish this book until now and I have started to read another. So, to avoid this procrastination I told myself before to read the new book; I have to read one chapter of the before book each night in order to end it.
